Dear colleagues:
Our RC34 has made good progress in enhancing regional and international interaction and collaboration among youth research institutes and youth researchers during the past twelve months. Our Executive Board members have helped to maintain coordination and implementation of regional and international academic activities at different levels. We are proud that numerous regional and international conferences and seminars have been organized by our Vice Presidents at various places such as the United States, Hong Kong, Australia, Italy, and Latin America. Moreover, we have had numerous members engaging in diverse international scholarly activities that have further expanded the world platforms for RC34 to interact with youth researchers and youth work practitioners in different parts of the wor
Our organizational secretary’s endeavor in keeping close contact with members and our IBYR Editor’s effort in producing the official newsletter – IBYR have kept members of our RC34 family in close touch. Currently, our RC34 is involved in planning a number of international conferences, including the upcoming international conference on The 8th International Conference on Asian Youth and Childhoods in Lucknow, India from November 22-24, 2007, and the ISA World Forum of Sociology in Barcelona from September 5-8, 2008.
