Youth Constructing Worlds: Capacities and Limits of Action for Change: Madrid October 14 & 15, 2010

The Youth and Society Postgraduate Studies of the Spanish Distance University (UNED) organize the International Congress “Youth Constructing Worlds. Capacities and Limits of Action for Change”. The Congress will be held on October 14 and 15th 2010 in the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid.

The objective of the Congress is to discuss about the capacities and limits that young people face when the try to transform the world in which they live. For this aim the different sessions are designed as a space for experts, youth workers and young people bringing together their reflections.

The content of the Congress will revolve around the following subjects: personal, intimate and gender relations; the capacity to transform the local community environment; social innovations and political creativity of youth; and public intervention and youth, etc. These thematic fields will be treated in four panels, which will have plenary sessions with interventions of Spanish, European and Latin-American experts and working groups, in which the presentations of the participants will be discussed.
