Applications are invited for the post of Professor in Youth Research in the University of Tampere. The post of Professor is located in the School of Social Sciences and Humanities, Degree Programme in Social Sciences. The successful applicant will be appointed starting August 1, 2017, until further notice.
A professor shall carry out and supervise scientific work, give and promote education in the field, follow developments in science in the field and participate in societal interaction and international cooperation in his/her field. The professor will provide teaching in the degree programme of social sciences.
A candidate applying for a professorship must hold an appropriate doctoral degree, have high-level academic qualifications and experience in directing scientific research, be able to provide high-quality, research-based education and supervision, as well as have a track record of international academic activities.
The salary is determined by the salary system for teaching and research staff. Requirement level is 8-9 (4656 € – 5244 € per month). In addition to the job requirement component, a part of the salary is based on the basis of personal performance which is at most 46.3% of the job requirement level.
The employment contract includes a trial period of four months.
