ISA – XIX World Congress of Sociology (Toronto, Canada, July 15-21, 2018): Call for Sessions

DEADLINE: March 15, 2017

Dear Colleagues, RC34 Members and Associates,

Preparations have started for the XIX International Sociological Association World Congress of Sociology to be held at Toronto, Canada.  The Call for Sessions is now open, and will close on March 15, 2017.  (Please note that the Call for Papers will come later, scheduled from April 25 – September 30, 2017).

ISA Research Committees will be allocated a limited number of sessions, which means that not all sessions will proceed as offered, and some may be combined.   During our selection process, priority will usually be given to sessions which are cross-national and non-exclusive, inviting the creativity of member scholars.

The RC34 Program Committee is now inviting proposals for whole sessions on youth research themes related to the conference theme.  These should be submitted to the ISA online at:  http://www.isa-sociology.org/en/conferences/world-congress/toronto-2018/call-for-sessions/.  Log into user portal to submit session proposals. Please see the Call and Briefing Notes, below and attached, for more information.

Many thanks, and warm regards to all,

Ani Wierenga

President RC34, Sociology of Youth, International Sociological Association

On behalf of the RC34 Program Committee, Howard Williamson, Clarence Batan, Sharlene Swartz and self.
